About Athens Mold and Machine
Athens Mold and Machine is an American-owned and operated tire mold machining company that machines molds using 3D models created by on-staff CNC programmers, using the models to create tire molds.
The business challenge
Athens Mold and Machine found that their current IT situation was not tenable. They had no IT department to speak of, their network security was spotty, and they did not have any kind of plan prepared in case of a disaster. When we reached out to begin a relationship with Athens Mold and Machine, we were fortuitously able to offer our services to rectify their situation.
What we did
While Athens Mold and Machine knew they needed help, they were unsure of the extent of their needs. We performed an IT audit on their facility and determined that the best course of action would be to rebuild their network infrastructure from the ground up. This meant a fresh setup that could be fully documented. From there, additional needs would get addressed on a case-by-case basis, applying modern tools to solve any remaining problems. Imagi-tech would take over the role as their IT experts and advise on further action.
What happened
Age was not the only issue with Athens Mold and Machine’s IT infrastructure. Their equipment was insufficient for a business of their size, as they relied on a small ISP-provided router to handle the needs of multiple powerful computers and systems. As their IT experts, we covered the positioning of suitable new hardware and began the process of installation. With new hardware hooked up, we could get to work on cleaning up their network and other services.
